The nursery uses the expertise of an agronomist specialised in the propagation and planting techniques of olive groves, with many years of practical experience, and of workers specialising in the production of plants and olive grove plantations.
The production of olive plants is based on advanced techniques of propagation and nursery management: direct rooting by cutting and graft-cutting in conditions of controlled humidity, temperature and light luminosity means of the warmed box system. The root cuttings are then cultivated in vases with natural soil for one whole year.
The propagation material is collected from foundation plants cultivated on the premises of the farm and hence rigorously controlled in terms of variety and sanitary standards , made up of approximately 200 arcings including cultivar, local ecotypes and new genetic strands.
This method allows us to obtain:
- homogeneous, high quality root cuttings ;
- complete rooting and immediate vegetative take up in the field;
- early entry into production and rapid development.
The plants are cultivated with tips integrated and therefore suitable for all forms of cultivation and in particular for the cone-shaped, spindle-shaped and free-shaped trees.
